Installing Crystal on a Workstation

In order for a workstation to work with Crystal Report Writer, you must first install the ODBC Driver.  Please follow the directions below:

Run the utility MyODBC-3.51.11-2-win.msi  (START/RUN and Browse for file located on the network - change File Type to All Files).  Click on Next until you see the Finish button.  Then it is installed.

Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel and choose Administrative Tools.  Then choose Data Sources (ODBC).

On the next screen (see below), choose the Add… option to the right

On the next screen, scroll to the bottom of the list and choose MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver and click on Finish.

Enter the information listed below for each of the areas.  The Password is tsc8 (lower case)

Click OK and OK on the next screen to complete.

After this procedure has been done, you must now update your User Registry on your workstation by running the utility licreg.msi  (START/RUN and Browse for file located on the network - change File Type to All Files).  Click on Next until you see the Finish button.  Then it is installed and you are ready to use Crystal Reports in MyLIC.
