MyBuilder

Choose this option when you need to see results of a certain criteria selection but do not need in report format.  

Procedure:

• Choose Utilities from top toolbar

• Click on MyBuilder

• The MySQLBuilder screen opens.  Click on the Plus sign on Tables to open the selection of tables to use.

• Select the table(s) to use by double clicking or use Drag and Drop to the Data Diagram window at top left panel

• If using two or more tables, link the tables by the common link (usually an ID number).  To link, select the common link from one table with your left mouse button and drag to the similar link in the other table -- then release the mouse button.  You can only link two tables at a time.

• Click in the checkbox to select the fields you want to view.  As the fields are chosen, they appear in the Selection window below

• Set the Summary column for any fields, might want to set ID number to count to get the number of records in result.  Right click and choose from selection

• Set the Sort Type and Order by right clicking in the Sort Type column and choose from the selection

• Click on the Criteria Tab (next to Selection) and choose the appropriate field, operand and value

• When finished entering criteria, grouping, sorting, etc. Click on the Result tab at the top (next to Data Diagram)

• Save  the SQL by clicking on the   icon if you will be using it over and over again.
