History Codes enable the association to create the targeted one-to-one marketing campaign that is so vital to member retention.
This powerful tool can be used to track participation in association committees and task forces; job descriptions, civic commitments, birthdays, etc. If there is information you would like to maintain on individuals, history maintenance is the ideal location. The number of records is unlimited so you can continue to update the history information as needed.
The Individuals ID number. This number can not be changed.
The individual's member ID number. This number can not be changed.
Enter the history code for this individual. SAMS provides a pop-up list that displays the available history codes. To view the pop-up list, click the ellipsis button or begin typing and choose a history code from the pop-up list; SAMS inserts the code and displays a description of the history code for you. SAMS will insert this new History code into this individual’s record. History Codes are defined in the Lookup Code section for Individuals.
Enter the history position code for this individual. For example, vice chair, president, treasurer, etc. To view the pop-up list click the ellipsis button or begin typing and choose a history position code from the pop-up list; SAMS inserts the code and displays a description of the history position code for you. The date is automatically entered for you, but you can change this date. If your association’s committees/boards will be longer than one year, use the start and end dates to define the term. If not, then leave the End Date field blank and use the Year field.
Enter the date this committee/board will end.
The Source field can be used to track how effective direct mail, or other projects have been. Enter the source for this individual, this is an open-ended field.
Defaults the current year, but you can change this date.
Enter the amount, if applicable, that the individual might serve on this committee/board.
